Hazel died on Thursday night. We’re not sure why but apparently it’s not uncommon with rabbits bought from pet shops. Holly’s even more nervous than usual but we’re hoping she’ll come round. I’m thinking about getting some company for her – a neutered male from the RSPCA would be my first choice.

I’ve got a bad back at the moment, it’s ok while I’m laying on the floor or walking but sitting for long (or sometimes short!) periods really hurts. I had Friday off and tried to do some research from home – but after half an hour sat in front of the computer my back was pretty bad. Chris had a meeting all afternoon so I didn’t get to spend much time with him either – very boring day! We did order a new bed though, our mattress is in a bit of a state so we were hoping a new one would help. We went to buy one and ended up buying a new king size bed instead… so I’ll know if that works when it’s delivered next month!

Saturday we had planned to spend all day in the house working on the fireplace. However C had agreed to do some work at Janet’s in Whitby so we went out there instead. Which was lovely, it’s ages since I’ve had a chance to look round. I took loads of pictures and we had chips on the front. We stopped at lots of other places too including Malton, Staithes, Beck Hole and Goathland. All in all a very good way to spend a hot Saturday.

We did manage to get some work done though, we spent some of Sunday shopping for wedding presents and the rest cleaning up the fireplace – it’s ready to be pointed up now! We got a quarter in the evening at St Mary’s which means we’re still on track for averaging one a month – we missed May but the two in January make up for it.

I want to...

Buy these for me.
Buy these and these for Tom.
Go to these places.
Do these things.
