The Housewarming

The party went very well, I was amazed by how many people turned up – we must have had over 30 there. Luckily all at different times of the day. The food seemed to go down well, if we do it again we need to have more of mum’s coleslaw, couscous and salad. We ran out of all of them! We got through lots, and lots of beer and meat, although we still have a fair bit of wine left over.

It was fantastic weather – just right for sitting in the garden eating and drinking. I’ve no idea how C managed to spend most of the day stood next to the BBQ though – it was warm enough without that! The iPod coped fantastically, we’d got a connector to play it through C’s speakers. Set up a playlist with lots of summery chilled songs and just let it get on with it – very useful.

The clean-up job on Sunday wasn’t too bad, we’d got most of the rubbish sorted out on the night. Lots of washing up to do and cleaning BBQs other than that we could enjoy the day. Our first anniversary!
