Not much of a weekend

We didn’t get much chance to enjoy ourselves this weekend. It was the BnD day at our tower so most of Saturday morning was spent getting together food and plates, organising who was bringing what etc. Then we got a chance for a quick ring before setting it all out, we thought we had far too much food but most of it seemed to disappear. There are a few cakes left over which I will take with me to ringing on Tuesday (if they last that long!). After the meeting we had to visit a friend in hospital but got there just as he was leaving to go home, which was very good news. We had a few drinks in town with the ringers and then went home.

Sunday morning was ringing, of course. Then we just had time to clean the bunnies out and tidy a few bits in the house before it was time for Chris to go to a quarter. We were both supposed to be ringing but I was really tired so arranged a substitute and had a nap and cleaned the bathroom instead. We’d arranged a quarter of Plain Bob Minor for the service which we unfortunately lost after 30 minutes, it was supposed to have been Glynis’ first on the treble but I think we need a little more practise before we get it. After ringing we went to Pizza Express with James and Sarah which was very nice, although I’m getting fed up of having water with my pizza, I want beer!
