The days are just packed

Apr 10, 2006

I’m loving maternity leave. I’m sure that will change once the little one gets here but at the moment it’s just so nice to be able to potter around the house and sleep when I need to (most days between 4 and 5!).

I’ve got all the baby clothes washed and ironed (probably the last time they’ll get ironed) and now I’m making a start on the bedding. I’ve made some cakes and some bread, tidied bits up – although the nesting instinct everyone talks about hasn’t kicked in yet.

Best of all the weather is lovely so I can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. I’ve got some plants to put into the garden but with Chris away I don’t want to push it too far – the last thing I need is to go into labour early with him miles away!

It’s three weeks today till my due date, so I’ve got plently if time to enjoy myself (in theory). I’ve just got to make sure I don’t run out of things to keep myself busy. Today’s task is packing the hospital bag.

I want to...

Buy these for me.
Buy these and these for Tom.
Go to these places.
Do these things.
