Exciting Weekend
May 14, 2006
We’re slowly getting out and about more, we’re trying to get out for a walk with the pushchair every day now – which Tom sleeps through but it gets me out the house. On Friday the midwife came for another measure and he now weighs 9lb 5oz, which means he gained a pound last week – no wonder with him feeding so often! He’s got a bit of an infection in his little finger which the midwife says may get better on it’s own but we since it was the weekend we ought to get some cream from the doctors incase it gets worse before Monday. So we went for a walk up to the doctors and then to the Cross Keys for lunch – Tom’s first pub visit!
On Saturday Mum and Dad came up to look after Tom while we attempted a quarter, unfortunately someone made a mistake and then Chris mis-called it on the second attempt – next time we’ll have to make sure he has his breakfast first! After the attempt we had lunch in the 3 John Scotts, the second Pub in as many days for Tom!
Saturday was also BnD day so after lunch we headed home for a feed (for Tom) and a nap (for me!) and then out to Hedon to the meeting. He behaved himself through the tea and everyone made a fuss over him, unfortunately as soon as the meeting started he decided it was time to eat so we went out the car and missed it all (very well timed). After the meeting we went up the tower where I had a quick go at Plain Bob Major and Chris got some Bristol. We didn’t stay too long though and went home via Asda for some supplies and beer for Chris.
This morning we went to the church ringing – it’s a little too loud for him so we pulled a hat over his ears, I don’t think we’ll be going back until there’s more sound control in. So this weekend he’s been to two pubs, two church towers and a supermarket – not bad for a two week old.
