Monthly Newsletter – Month Three
Jul 28, 2006
This month has definitely been the best yet. Tom’s developing a personality now and laughs when he finds things funny, which is brilliant. He smiles all the time at anyone who smiles at him – mostly ladies though. He loves the colour red and can pick out something red in a room very quickly.

His hand control has got a lot better and now he grabs for things, he usually misses but when he does catch things they go straight into his mouth to be covered in drool. I’ve heard that when babies start teething they drool more, at this rate he’ll drown us! His head control is fantastic and he very rarely headbutts us these days we bought him a bouncer which he loves.

Tom is definitely a morning person. He sometimes lets me sleep till 8 after his 5 or 6 o’clock feed but usually he wants to be up and about at 7. In the morning he likes to talk to us, he chats and smiles at anyone who will listen – until we get the camcorder out then he just looks at it. It’s the same with the camera, it’s all smiles until you switch it on.

This month Tom has finally managed to roll over, which he finds very funny. This is great but it means he needs rescuing sometimes at night when he gets arms and/or legs wedged in the bars. He can roll from his front to back but prefers screaming until we move him. Sometimes he’ll just go to sleep on his front, which is a worry.

This month Tom’s put on lots of weight and is now at 15lb 8oz, over a stone, and measures 62cm. my knees and back are beginning to suffer from carrying him round. Everybody loves him and always say what a happy social baby he is, and how big!
