Monthly Newsletter - Month Eleven

Apr 01, 2007

Tom is nearly a year old, and I’m going back to work after my maternity leave!

This month Tom has been wonderful, he seems to have completely recovered from all the colds and sickness. He’s back to his happy, busy, little self. He flirts with everyone, something which makes a supermarket shop very funny, and longer than it used to be!

Tom’s preffered method of moving is still crawling although he now walks short distances on his own, tempted with the right toy he will go six or seven steps to get to it. I’m hopeful that he’ll be walking more than crawling by his first birthday – but we’ll have to see.

Vocabulary wise Tom has come on in leaps and bounds this month. He make chatting noises all the time and is starting to make certain noises for certain things, he can say fissss for fish, and I think tssst for toast. I’m not sure if he calls me mummumm or not, but he says it a lot. – tom

I think Toms favourite thing in the world is eating, especially things he can feed himself, toast, rice cakes etc. He’s started eating more solid things this month, including lots of pasta and cous-cous. – eating

Tom has a lot of toys. Lots and lots. It’s hard to pick out his favourite but he likes his shape sorting blocks that make noise, and he loves his garage, especially the lift. I think if I had to choose a favourite toy for him it would be either the tv remote (a working one, he knows if we give him an old one) or one of our mobile phones.

I want to...

Buy these for me.
Buy these and these for Tom.
Go to these places.
Do these things.
