Monthly Newsletter - Month Twelve
May 01, 2007
I can’t believe my little boy is already a year old. It doesn’t seem a year since we were rushing to hospital in the middle of the night. At the same time he seems to have been around forever.
Thomas continues to be wonderful, he’s such a cheerful little guy all the time smiling and laughing. Although this month has seen the start of temper tantrums. He definitely doesn’t like the word NO. He’s been known to bang his head on the floor, bite things and just generally scream when he’s told he can’t have something.
The biggest change this month though has to be walking. He’s now walking all the time. He very rarely crawls anywhere. It’s very funny as he holds his arms above his head for balance, he looks like an orangutan.
I went back to work this month and now Tom spends Mon, Tues and Wednesdays at his Nannas house, which he’s loving. All the time we spent there while I was on leave has definitely paid off. Work is going great and I’m loving the fact I can see Tom at lunch time.
Mum has tought him lots of new sounds, he goes tick tock for clocks and watches. Cats and dogs are now a kissing noise and hand-held windmills are puff – he blows. I think I’d rather he learnt the proper words but it is very cute. He has also caught on to the baby sign language and signs for water when he is thirsty. I now need to teach him biscuit and maybe tired, or something useful!
