Monthly Newsletter - Month Nineteen

Dec 03, 2007

I’m a little late writing this months update as things are a little hectic round here at the moment. Thomas has been poorly for the last few weeks and we’ve spent a lot of time letting him lean on us while he does his new favorite thing – watch In the Night Garden on tv. He’s never watched tv really but as he’s poorly we’ve relaxed the rules a bit. I’m sure when he’s better we’ll have fun telling him he’s not allowed to watch tv all day! He really loves In the Night Garden and asks for it by pointing at the tv and saying “ooopsssydssy” I’m not sure she’s his favorite character but she’s certainly the one she knows. I am learning all the songs, and get excited when a new one is on tv!

Tom has been very cute this month and really plays with his toys now. He feeds his trains and animals, and lets them have a drink from his mug. Which is very funny when I make “yum yum yum” noises! He also loves playing with his trains, he’s really getting into Thomas the Tank Engine. We took him to the train museum in York at the beginning of the month and he absolutely loved it! He was a little overawed at first but was soon running round.

Tom has made some progress on mobility and can now get down from one of our chairs, although he’d rather sit on the edge and shout doooowwwwnn till I come and give him a hand. The terrible twos are coming and Tom now has days where he refuses to do anything we want him to do. But most of the time he’s still marvelous.

I don’t think Tom has any idea what Christmas is – he was still very young last time. He loves Christmas trees and lights and says “chrsssmss tree” when he sees them. We’re very excited about Christmas I’m sure Thomas will love it this year. I’m not sure what he’s getting as presents yet though!

I want to...

Buy these for me.
Buy these and these for Tom.
Go to these places.
Do these things.
