Monthly Newsletter - Month Twenty
Jan 01, 2008
This has been a very exciting month in our house, of course. Thomas’ second Christmas has been even more exciting than the first. He loves all the Christmas lights, trees, and snowmen. Thomas has been fantastic with the Christmas tree, he helped to put our tree up and has managed not to mess about with it at all.
At the beginning of the month Thomas was quite poorly and since then he’s been a bit funny about food, he went through two weeks of only eating beans, and we still have to be careful about mentioning them around him! He is also getting funnier about what he wears. I had to have a trip to the shops to pick out some tops he likes as all he wanted to wear was a top with a dog on it which was size 9 – 12 months!
This year we had Christmas day at home, Nanna and Grandad came up and helped open all Thomas’ presents. He was hugely excited in the days leading up to it but I’m not entirely sure he knew why. Christmas day we got up as normal and fed him breakfast, then when Nanna and Grandad arrived we went into the front room where all the presents were. Thomas nearly burst. It took a long time to open the presents as there were a lot of them. Also he had to play with each present for a long time after he opened it. We were still opening well into the afternoon!
We spent the last few days in the Lake district, which Thomas always enjoys. We went for several walks and even though it was raining Thomas managed to get a run – with a very good waterproof on.
Next month should be pretty exciting for Thomas as he is going to start going to a day-care for two mornings a week. He’s going to the Montessori school near Pocklington, it’s a fantastic place and I’m sure he’s going to enjoy playing with other children – it will also be a great lead into Nursery for him.
