Thomas changes every day, his vocabulary is amazing and it’s now possible to have a conversation with him. It’s nice to be able to ask him what the matter is and what he wants and get sensible (usually) replies. I don’t miss the screaming baby stage at all!

Thomas is facinated by farms at the moment in particular tractors and combine harvestors. We can’t go on a car journey without looking out for a field being harvested or ploughed. He seems to be loving this time of year! He has a few toy tractors and combines and plays with them almost every day. he loves pretending the grain is coming out the harvester – complete with shhhhhh noises. We gave him an old toy farm that I had as a child which he likes but doesn’t yet seem too interested in the animals, machinery is much more interesting.

Tom is getting very creative and loves to crayon, we have also got a selection of pipe cleaners, feathers, pompoms and eyes which he likes to watch us playing with – he’s not too sure what to do with them himself yet. Often when I get to Mums after work he’s sat in “Nannas craft room” playing with paper and pens. He makes cards for everyones birthdays with stickers and crayons.

Thomas’ favourite words are “what’s that?!” closely followed by “what’s he doing?” he needs to know everything about everything, which can only be good (if a little tiring at times!).

I want to...

Buy these for me.
Buy these and these for Tom.
Go to these places.
Do these things.
