Monthly Update - Month Twenty Nine

This has been a busy month as the last week of it we were on holiday in the Lake District. This time we hired a cottage for a week which was lovely as it meant there was no packing and unpacking and Tom was in his own room. Thomas loved the house, it was very unusual with lots of little staircases – with about three or four steps each. He spent a lot of time climbing up and down. He’s definitely better at stairs than before we went.

Thomas loved his week in the cottage, he called it the “holiday home”. We manged to do lots of things while we were away, he spent lots of times with his Nanna and Grandad, and even took them to the railway while we climbed some hills. We took Tom on a boat (his first) which he enjoyed. We climbed two hills and found a fun play house for him.

He seems to have grown up so much this week, I always seem to notice the difference in him when we go away and come back home. He’s speaking a lot more and it’s lovely to be able to have conversations with him and explain things so he can understand. Though he always needs an explanation…
