Another Birthday weekend
Aug 11, 2004
It was Chris’ birthday on Friday so I took the day off (after convincing him I wasn’t). I’d also made him a proper birthday cake which we started for breakfast. As we had Kesty for the weekend and the weather was good we decided to head up to North Yorkshire for the day. We started off at Pickering where we walked round the castle and picked up some sandwiches for lunch. After lunch we went up to Goathland for a long walk down to Malyan Spout and back up to the pub in Beck Hole. It was a good walk and the dog really enjoyed it! She slept all Saturday.
We had a quiet day on Saturday I had a meeting at the bank to get my name changed on everything and then we had a walk round town. In the evening we went for a BBQ at Sarah’s. We got the train home which I’ve never done from Beverley and quite enjoyed.
It was another quiet day on Sunday with ringing and breakfast in the morning, some house tidying and then a good quarter in the evening – our first as Mr and Mrs Baxter!
